  • The Best War Movies

    On this memorial day weekend, I offer the following list, in no particular order, of what I think are the best war movies ever made. Of course the word "best" is a relative term, and there are other equally find movies that should be on this list.  Perhaps you would care to add a few of them in your comments.

    *  A Bridge to Far

  • Patton, The Longest Day, Letters From Iwo-jima, Saving Private Ryan, Flags of our Fathers, and Tora Tora Tora! are good ones that come to mind.

  • How about some oldies? Red Badge of Courage (starring Audie Murphy of all people) and maybe "All Quiet on the Western Front" and mayby "Birth of a Nation"?
